Patient-Physician Relationships

handshake

Patient-physician relationships are an important part of a medical journey. However, in a hospital setting, physicians and medical staff have daily routines that they prefer to do with a minuscule amount of patient interruption. When you are a patient who interrupts these routines, it leads to certain judgements by medical providers which can influence the patient-physician relationship as well as actions taken by medical personnel. When you are a patient who does not interrupt routines, it leads to a different judgement being made by medical professionals which has a different effect on the patient-physician relationship, however this can also have downsides for the patient. We will dive further into these relationships, attitudes, and judgements throughout this site and what hospital patients should know about the effects of provider judgements.
